  SIAN EVANS
Latest Jewellery / CV

I've run my own company for 18 years and I teach at Central St Martins. I have also recently been made a research fellow for Central St Martins, and will be investigating and experimenting with new technologies for the jewellery industry culminating in a show in 2005.

I am the Visiting Tutor for the third and second year jewellery BA course. I mark the degrees and am responsible for design and contextual input. The weekly visit to the college is a pleasure. It keeps me in contact with the new work being developed by the students and its refreshing to see the enthusiasm with which they work and learn.

As well as producing collections several times a year I also make commissions in gold and platinum for private customers. I do a small amount of work for the film industry and work with design companies, realising jewellery collections for them.

Telegraph bangles

These are the items featured in the Telegraph, Saturday 15th October 2005 with the Ruby Wax interview. I make these to order for my clients as many want to have a message of their own stamped into the silver. Or alternatively you can have one of the original messages that I designed for the collection.

On the pieces that you saw is written:

1) Perhaps, possibly , maybe, will I, I want to, persuade me, I'm undecided, help me.
2) This is a testament to my love, with you breathe I hope, let me die in your arms
3) can you carry the can or let our beautiful planet die, honour, ethics, integrity, morality

These are about as many words as you can fit onto a bangle using the stamping tools that I have. The Pieces are solid sterling silver and hall marked in London.They can come in small,medium,or large. From the top of the image the prices are as follows;

3mm square section stamped bangle ( perhaps , possibly.....) matt silver finish £95.00
3mm square section plain bangle matt finish £75.00
6mm wide bangle ( Integrity..... ) matt finish £125.00
3mm square stamped bangle ( this is a testament....) polished finish £95
18mm wide bangle plain polished finish £150.00

If you are feeling extravegant I can also quote in other precious metals, these look great in 18ct yellow gold for instance. If you would like to talk to me about having a piece made, e-mail me or, call me on 0207 251 6881 , thats the studio number , it may be easier to get me on my mobile over the next few days however which is 07950337057.
