  JAMES HAMILTON
Director - TheChipFactory Ltd

As a business person and graphics guy I find it increasingly hard to describe exactly what it is that I do. If I had to sum it up, I'm a problem solver. If a client has a particular area that they need help with, the purpose of theChipfactory is to get that help to them.

Individually we are strong in our own fields, but I feel we have more to offer as a group. If there is a certain project or problem that I am uncomfortable with, I aim to have the right phone number to make sure that it can be handled and that the client is happy.

The client list below is my own personal client list, covering some of the companies and individuals that I have had the pleasure of working with over the last few years. Just to pick out a some of collaborations, Shantell Martin has worked on projects with Joe Casely-Hayford, Sian Evans has worked with Gieves & Hawkes, I have worked with Daisuke Sakaguchi and many of the other collaborators on a range of projects, such as the Lucia & Daisuke tshirts (which also involved Jennie Kwan), Remi/Rough on both his website and contributions to exhibitions and a book currently in progress..

Profile
Since graduation from Central St Martins in 2003, I have started a company and have had the opportunity to work with many people I respect, admire and have also along the way, become friends with.

My personal inspirations and interests are mathematical and scientific. I try my best to learn as much as I can on the wide range of topics that interest me. From how things work at the lowest levels and the histories of knowledge, to the philosophy of existence and the questions of why we believe what we do. Throughout history there have been so many fundamental changes in common beliefs, like people thinking that the earth is flat to how we think things are today, things that we call truthes; we would be wise to continue to question them. I try to keep this in mind at all times.
